R***!

Australia

Australia…. Initially, I was uncertain how I felt being there, my presence supporting another ongoing system destroying an indigenous population through processes that continue to distance the collective conscience from their humanity…but then I got to Melbourne, and we took turns driving over to Sydney, and in both places there were such delightful restaurants and cafes. So I ate Thai food instead of caring about the plight of the aboriginals who continue to suffer unmerciful injustices at the hands of the invaders (I could live in Thai food).

We did all the touristy “Best things to do in Melbourne, Sydney, Alice Springs, Cairns” but the highlight was eating a kangaroo burger in Victoria, Durras Lake North Holiday park’s population of kangaroos (below), and camping under the stars giving the sky dimensions in Cairns, for our rock tour.

Kangaroo burgers. (Who noticed the Joey?)

After Australia

Then I was running up and down corridors after returning from Australia, busy with: seminar preparation, English camps, contract signing ceremony (a popular Japanese style of wasting time), party at mine (two weeks ago, Friday)…so, exhausted I was. The day after the party, I went to Osaka to spend a week sleeping late, going to Spa World [hot springs where you get naked with hundreds of other men] and didn’t have to worry about preparing my own meals (I may tell you about that later).

Funny Weird Friend

H**** and I speak the same language (you’ll notice the number of photos of her I posted to Facebook of us in Australia).

She says things like: “I kidnapped her and forced her to play naked in the woods – a game I called ‘fairies’. And they found us at the church.” Here, in response to me saying “Tell me a story”, she was talking about a friend who was subsequently forbidden by her mother from ever talking to her again.

Drunk Make Out

I told X**** at the sayonara party in July (after we’d made out) that I couldn’t understand it…why this impulse whenever I was drunk when, sober, she drove me crazy? (She knows I’ll seduce her brother, but she’s a great kisser). She understood that to mean she drove me Beyoncé’s ‘Crazy in Love’. My words were unable to reach her across the chasm between us.
